The Big Hare Trail in aid of Leuchie House- North Berwick
I'm delighted that I have been lucky enough to be one of ten artists chosen to decorate a hare for the upcoming Big Hare Trail in North Berwick! The Big Hare Trail is going to be a spectacular public art event in partnership with Wild in Art.
The hares will be hopping around North Berwick from the 10th July for ten whole weeks! If you fancy a day out on the East Lothian coast between now and October, why not follow the trail to see all the wonderful creations from a fantastic variety of artists.
The trail is in aid of Leuchie House - a fantastic charity that supports those living with neurological conditions such as multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's and motor neurone disease.
I can't wait for the hares to be revealed! They are one of my favourite things to paint, but it was a really interesting challenge to work on something on this scale. One of my aims as an author and illustrator is to inspire a love of reading and stories and I have tried to channel that into my big hare design as much as possible. I also love creating engaging characters full of personality - I hope you can see that when the design is unveiled.
I must say a special thank you to Tim Wood and the team at McInroy and Wood who are sponsoring my hare! I am so pleased to be supporting this very deserving charity with you.
